Trusted by solo clinicians and multi-site clinics alike. Figures below are placeholders.
Everything a practice runs on, sharing one record.
A session on the schedule becomes a note, a superbill, and an invoice line without anyone retyping a name, a date, or a CPT code.
Scheduling
A weekly view per clinician, with rescheduling that keeps the note and the billing attached.
Client records
Contacts, guardians, diagnoses, service codes, and documents on one client — with sensitive fields kept behind their own permission.
Clinical notes
Your own note templates, treatment plans, and signing — with supervisor co-sign where a licence requires it.
Billing & superbills
Invoice unbilled sessions in a batch, take card payments, and hand families a superbill they can actually submit.
Reports
Clinician timesheets, session volume, and outstanding balances — exportable when your accountant asks.
Roles & access
Custom roles down to the permission — who sees dollar amounts, who signs, who reads other clinicians' notes.
The note is done before the next client arrives.
Open the appointment and the note arrives scoped to the right client, template, and date of service. Required fields are checked at signing, and a signed note locks.
- Build templates from text, textarea, date, dropdown, checkbox, and signature fields
- Load last note pulls the client's previous responses into today's draft
- Psychotherapy notes stay private to their author
What clinicians say after the first month.
I used to spend Sunday afternoons on notes. Now they are signed before I leave the clinic.
Six clinicians, three locations, one place to look. Onboarding a new hire takes an afternoon.
Superbills went from a monthly project to a Tuesday morning. Families get them the same week.

Compliance you can explain to a family in one sentence.
PHI is encrypted, every change is logged, and permissions are yours to shape. No enterprise procurement cycle required.
PHI encrypted at rest
AES-256-GCM on identifiers like SSN and insurance IDs, encrypted field by field.
Audit log
Every create, edit, and delete recorded with who and when — plus who opened a psychotherapy note — searchable in settings.
Role-based access
Build roles from individual permissions, including who can see dollar amounts.
Automatic session timeout
Idle sessions warn and then sign out, so a shared clinic laptop is not a liability.
Multi-factor auth
Required for every user, with recovery codes issued at setup.
BAA on every plan
Signed business associate agreement included, even on the solo plan.

Questions clinicians ask first.
Still unsure? Book a 20-minute walkthrough and bring your messiest workflow.
Can I bring my existing note templates?
Yes. Templates are built in settings, field by field, so you can rebuild the forms you already use — including goal tracking and trial counts. We'll do the first two with you during onboarding.
Do you bill insurance directly?
Happy Practice generates superbills with the CPT, ICD-10, and place-of-service codes on the session, and invoices families directly with card payment. Clearinghouse claim submission is on the roadmap.
How do supervision and co-signing work?
Signing is a permission. A clinical fellow can sign their own notes but not independently; their supervisor sees a co-sign queue, and the note only locks once both signatures are on it.
What happens to my data if I leave?
Today you can download superbills as PDFs and clinician timesheets as CSV. Full client, note, and billing-history export is on the roadmap — until it ships, ask us and we will produce the data for you.
Is it only for speech therapy?
It is built around SLP workflows first. Note templates, CPT and ICD-10 codes, and roles are all defined by you, so other outpatient disciplines can be set up on it — but there is no discipline-specific configuration shipped today.
How long does setup take?
A solo practice is seeing clients in the system the same afternoon. Group practices usually take a week: roles, templates, and importing the active caseload.
Give your evenings back to your evenings.
Start a 30-day trial, or bring a real caseload to a demo and we’ll set it up with you.
